Deep Time (1) Sea. Luca Soup
The beginnings of time as envisaged by Hutton through his observation of unconformity-an unfathomable space of time.
This is my imagining of LUCA, common ancestor to all modern life. A single -cell organism who lived 4 billion years ago and probably lived around deep-sea hydrothermal vents.
The piece is painted with acrylics, oils and inks on board 2'x2'
