Deep Time (2) Stone - liquid paused in its flow

The anniversary of Hutton,founder of modern geology. His concept of deep time- and unfathomable space of time shown by 'unconformity' in the rocks.

I have tried to show the unconformity in the rocks at Siccar Point near Scotland where the rock has tilted to support a new deposit. The vertical rock lines hurtle down to infinity, showing colours, imprints, light and shade.

I have used many layers for texture - acrylic, inks, oil, pen, charcoal ,wax.
